Pet Care Rescue was started by a 4-H Pet Care Project Leader. Our mission is to save the lives of orphaned kittens by rescuing and fostering them until they are ready for new homes. The 4-H members work hands on with the kittens. They assist with bathing, de-worming, treating for ear mites and fleas, and administering vaccinations. This is part of a community service project in which the kids will receive credit for in their end of the year personal development reports. This project teaches the members sympathy, responsibility, and pet care skills.
The kittens are fostered at the Pet Care Leader's home. They are housed in a clean, loving, family environment. The kittens are very well socialized with other cats, dogs, and children. A lot of love and time goes into this project. Every kitten is treated with the love and care that it deserves.
